unscripted.
YOUR LIFE. YOUR STORIES.

A little clarity
about privacy.

Last updated September 17, 2026 · Includes the version 1.1 update

Unscripted does not require an account, include advertising, or send your adventure collection to a developer-operated server. You choose whether to share a story card.

What the app stores

The app stores your saved adventures, current adventure, completed moments, optional written reflections, optional photos, chosen Plot Twists, and preferences locally. The iPhone version uses the app’s private data directory. The browser version uses a local browser database. These collections are separate and do not sync between devices.

Your photos and reflections

Only an image you choose is added to a moment. The app resizes it locally to keep the collection compact. Your original photo is not modified. Written reflections are displayed inside your collection and are intentionally excluded from exported story cards.

When you share

Sharing creates an image containing the adventure title, date, artwork, your optional photo, and any chosen Plot Twist and its instruction. On iPhone, the system share sheet lets you select a destination. In a browser, the app shows the generated image and lets you download it. Nothing is posted automatically. The destination service handles the shared image under its own privacy practices.

Network activity and website hosting

The iPhone app bundles its adventure content, fonts, and artwork and does not need to download them. The website and browser preview request those assets from their hosting server. A website host may process standard request information such as IP addresses, request times, and browser details to deliver and secure the site. The code includes no advertising trackers or analytics services.

Purchases

The iPhone app is a paid download through Apple. Apple handles purchase and payment information under its own policies. This preview website does not accept payments or collect payment details.

Keeping or deleting your data

You can delete individual moments, including their attached photos, inside the app. Deleting the app normally removes its local data; clearing this website’s browser storage removes the web collection. Device or operating-system backups may retain app data according to your own backup settings. There is no developer-operated cloud copy to restore. Export any story cards you want to keep.

Questions and updates

See the support page for help and contact information. If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated before the corresponding release.
